  1. I LOVE this!!!! I am always looking for new ways to incorporate STEM into our kindergarten classroom. Thanks for this wonderful idea - putting it into my file for Easter!

  2. Sadly the videos weren't working for me. : /
This looks like such a fun activity! I have a couple questions though. Did students start with one block and then push the egg over and check to see whether it was broken, and then continue the process while adding one block at a time? Or did they start with their hypothesis guess?
Also, how did you check whether their protected egg was cracked or not?

  3. I have spent the entire morning on your blog!! It is my new favorite blog!! I LOVE your style and you have inspired me to share more on my blog (Time is my enemy!)! I do many of the same books and activities you have blogged about and I've gotten more ideas from you! Thank you so much for sharing!
My blog pales compared to yours! I'd be honored if you would visit @ mrsdannecy.blogspot.com.

    1. You are so sweet! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope to do a better job blogging this year. Last year I had to write math curriculum for myself and the other 16 kindergarten teachers that I work with. It proved to be very time consuming. Thanks again for stopping by!

  4. Hi Deeanna - I saw a recent post by Vickie on her blog about your math training. I was wondering if you do any public trainings (I'd love to attend!!) If you do not do public trainings, is there any way I could attend a school/district training (I'd HAPPILY pay) as a visitor. I love everything I've bought and used from you and would love the opportunity to hear/see you in person explaining kinder math - you are awesome (and sadly, my district does just about nothing for K teachers). Thanks for considering :) Connie

  8. The egg stem is so cute and creative. Do you have links to download the pages? I looked on your TPT, too. I also have the same question as a teacher above about starting with one block or starting with guess? TY.
