Tops and Bottoms

  1. One of my all-time favorite books! I love to read this aloud with a hoppy bouncy voice for Hare and a slow lazy voice for Bear. I adore the inside jokes in the text and we explore the reference to Tortoise and the Hare at the first of the book. This year we ate our plant parts after arranging rice cakes spread with peanut butter and sprinkled with sunflower seeds (if we liked), celery for a stem, broccoli for flower petals, spinach leaves and carrot roots into a flower. Everyone tried alot of "new" things and some of us scarfed the whole arrangement down.

  5. Hi...I am now following your blog. I will be working with K's this year for the first time, so I am on the lookout for any ideas I can find from K teachers.
I look forward to reading your blog this year.
